Fiduciary Trust International Appoints Julie Strong Karnavas Regional Managing Director for Pennsylvania Region

Two years after Pennsylvania Trust acquisition, the firm’s Radnor office is stronger than ever
Fiduciary Trust International, a global wealth manager and wholly owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton, announces that Julie Strong Karnavas has assumed the role of Regional Managing Director for the Pennsylvania market.
Ms Karnavas, who is based in the firm’s Radnor office and was previously Director of Portfolio Management and Relationships, will continue to work with clients as a senior portfolio manager actively involved in the investment team. She will also continue to sit on the firm’s management committee. Ms. Karnavas succeeds as Regional Managing Director to George McFarland, who will remain Senior Portfolio Manager and a member of the local management team at Radnor. Mr. McFarland also continues to serve on the executive committee of Fiduciary Trust International at the national level.

Fiduciary Trust International has expanded into the Pennsylvania region following the completion of its acquisition of Radnor-based wealth management firm Pennsylvania Trust Company in May 2020. Ms. Karnavas first joined Pennsylvania Trust in February 2014. Earlier in her career, she served as a senior portfolio manager at Glenmede Trust Company, where she was responsible for senior relationships for several complex family and the foundations of Glenmede. Ms. Karnavas began her career in wealth management at Northern Trust, where she served as a senior portfolio manager in the firm’s investment advisory unit. She is a past board member of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the ALS Association and serves on the Investment Committee of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Ms. Karnavas is also a member and former board member of the Acorn Club in Philadelphia. She earned her BA in Politics and Government, and French, from Ohio Wesleyan University.
