Kion to Report Q3 Loss; Provides outlook 2022

Kion Group AG said it expects to post a loss in the third quarter as supply chain shortages intensify and the cost of energy and materials increases, and provided new perspectives for the year 2022.
The German warehouse equipment supplier said it expects an adjusted loss before interest and tax of between 100 million euros ($99.7 million) and 140 million euros, compared with a profit of 228.9 million euros in the third quarter of the previous year.
Kion said it expects order intake in the period to be significantly lower in the third quarter of 2021, primarily due to lower orders in the chain management segment. supply compared to last year.
Consolidated revenue is expected to be in line with the prior year figure of 2.57 billion euros, while free cash flow will continue to be negative and significantly lower than the prior quarter, Kion said.
The Frankfurt-based company has updated its full-year 2022 outlook after withdrawing it in April. He said he expects revenue to be between 10.45 and 11.25 billion euros, while adjusted EBIT is expected to be between 200 and 300 million euros.
