Applications are invited for a post-doctoral researcher to work with Dr Nura Sidarus on the ESRC-funded project “A Computational Approach to Understanding Disease Cognition in Depression”. The project will investigate the neuro-computational mechanisms of maladaptive cognition underlying depressive symptoms, through online, clinical and neuroimaging studies focused on attribution and value-based decision making and learning.

We are looking for talented, highly qualified and motivated researchers with doctorates in neuroscience, psychology or cognitive science, with considerable experience in applying mathematical modeling techniques to data. Strong programming and statistical skills are essential. Expertise in mental health neuroscience and fMRI is highly desirable.

The Department of Psychology, located in Egham, near central London, has an excellent research profile (ranked 6th in the latest framework for research excellence) and benefits from state-of-the-art research facilities (e.g. MRI, TMS , EEG, cognitive-behavioral test suites, Babylab).
